- Consider and evaluate alternative economy theories "between" socialism and capitalism
- Construct and argument for whether any of these alternatives are preferable to dominate ways of organizing the economy today
- Assess the feasibility of one of these alternatives in light of your beliefs about human nature, society, and other externalities
